A Guide To The Importance of Physical Education Programs

Physical activity offers a broad range of benefits, including the prevention of obesity, improved self confidence, and an overall sense of well-being. Physical education programs within the school setting can set the stage for how children view physical fitness, activity levels, and future health. Physical education programs also include general health and safety information in addition to providing opportunities for students to learn how to cooperate with one another in a team setting.
A Lifetime of Health The school setting provides a structured atmosphere in which to incorporate physical health activities and ideally develop healthy habits for life. Studies indicate that promotion of a healthy lifestyle taught in physical education classes can influence long-term health benefits such as reduced rates of obesity, heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
Perhaps just as importantly, physical education programs can teach students that physical activity can be fun. With a broad range of games and activities, children are exposed to forms of exercise that don't simply involve running around a track. Games and other activities incorporate teamwork, strategy, skill-building exercises, and fun.
Nutritional Information Physical education classes are ideal for introducing basic nutritional concepts to children. Poor eating habits are common among many children and adolescents; however, a solid foundation in healthy eating choices can help lay the groundwork for improved food choices. Children who eat regular, healthy meals consisting of a wide range of food choices concentrate better in school and are less disruptive. Healthy eating also decreases the chances of children developing serious health problems early in life and reduces obesity rates among youth and into adulthood.
Life Skills Physical education also provides an opportunity for children to develop critical life skills, such as problem solving, strategy, and working together. Many team sports require participants to work together to achieve a goal. Children also learn the basics of good sportsmanship and that there is much more to sports and physical activities than simply winning or losing. Sports require training, mental and physical preparation, and help build self-confidence.
Mental Health Regular physical activity has shown to have many psychological and mental benefits in addition to the physical ones. For example, regular exercise can reduce feelings of depression and anxiety and promote an overall sense of well-being. The increased blood flow during exercise transports oxygen to all parts of the body, including the brain, which can help improve memory and reasoning skills. Conversely, a lack of oxygen, which can result from not enough deep breathing, can lead to disorientation, confusion, fatigue, and memory and concentration difficulties.

Technology in the classroom

The ISTE Classroom Observation Tool (ICOT) is an observation tool developed by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). The ISTE is a membership association for educators and education leaders. The association’s purpose is to engage in advancing excellence in learning and teaching through technology.

Adult Learning Theory

It goes without saying that nowadays we are all confronted with an environment of continuous change and speedy shifts. Technology has altered the very nature of business and this had greatly influenced the employment market. Jobs requiring expertise and technical skills are growing in nearly every sector of the economy. The continuous change in what employees need to know and be able to handle suggests that learning, training and education will occur over the length of a career and, in fact, a lifetime. In light of this, adults have had to become life-long learners by consistently challenging themselves to pursue learning opportunities.

Religius Education

When I attended a meeting of Catholic education in Beirut, met with counterparts from Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and several other Middle Eastern countries. From them I learned that religious education is not taught in schools but the board held by their respective religions in collaboration with parents and learners are taught outside of school.

Currently emerging pros and cons of the issue of religious education in schools by religious students and taught by religious teachers correligionists learners. In principle it is easily said and done, if in one class consists of only two religious groups of learners, but if in one class there are 5 (five) religion students, I imagine how difficult it is to arrange and place, if it is implemented at school. Why?

Principle of Balance

The desire to become the number one seemed to have been impossible to be changed again. Desire to remain unbeaten and the winner is a natural appetite and very grown-developed not only in educational environments, but also in almost every line of our life.

Silver and bronze medals as if nothing has any meaning, because our focus is on the lame gold medal. The name Star Student, Student Model, Ranked First has membalung-marrow in the mindset and fancies of each students (and even parents and teachers) we.

The spirit of competition and the desire to be a student / student role model - being a star, certainly does not hurt. But the question now is how far and how the spirit of competition it is understood and applied by our students (including parents and teachers as well).

How to give Education to children

Consider the education of children with preparing for future generations. Heart of a child is like a photographic plate that does not display anything, ready to reflect on all that revealed to him. Natural heritage brought every soul on earth, almost all men a bad attitude shown what it is is what is obtained after they are born to earth. This shows that the goodness that is natural while the crime is not natural.

Thinking broadly about life relating to children is not easy. But we must remember that adults often underestimate the capacity of a child's mind, which actually often more willing to understand and better able to understand something than an adult. Although you can not start the education of children with a deep subject, you can always save a great design that you see and want to achieve in front of you.
